Coach Fewell was more than a teacher and coach. He was someone I looked up to and would listen to. He helped me through some very difficult teenage years including providing me respite from the chaos of high school in his ISS classroom. I found his council and presence soothing. In fact, I looked for ways to be sent there. (He eventually told me I didn't need to get in trouble, the teachers would GLADLY let me go if I asked.) Words cannot express the impact he had on my life. He saw a struggling teenager and took the steps that may have literally saved my life. My family and I am forever grateful for him. He was a special man. He will never be forgotten.
To the my family (Smith's), we pray God's comfort & peace during this time of transition. Cherish the memories!
Love you, Cousin Jackie! Regards to the family!
Sending my condolences to the family and praying for ya
Rest in Paradise Coach! From your trustee brother Steve Setzer🙏🏾❤️
Mr. Fewell was an inspiring individual to all that he came to know. The girls (his ponies) in the outfield to the girls guarding the infield were all better people not just players for having his influence. Both our daughters adored him. He will be remembered fondly.
Our PRAYERS are with the Fewell family during this difficult time
To The Fewell Family, Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one steal. The Trojans Family call Wayne ( Duck). A nice guy. My condolences and prayers.
Fewell family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know that there are truly no words of comfort that can make you feel any less heartbroken at this difficult time. Take time to heal in your own way and know that you are loved.
Coach Fewell was the epitome of love. He was not only an amazing coach and teacher, but he was a true mentor. I honed my comedic timing on that man! He is the one that I loved to see smile, laugh and shake his head at me and say, "Mouse, you aren't right." I hope he knew how much I loved him! And Mrs.Mouse (my mom) too. She made all those 'sghetti sandwiches more for him than us girls. Coach, you were loved.
Wayne was a great friend, athlete, coach, and gentleman. There are many fond memories of our days in school at Cramerton and South Point. Condolences to the entire family.

Coach Fewell will be missed immensely. He was a fantastic teacher, coach, and mentor. I count myself lucky to have known him. He truly was a kind, gracious, and uplifting person.
Wayne was part of Forestview's inaugural faculty. I taught with Wayne for 6 years. Jackie was my substitute when l had to have surgery, a much sought after sub. Wayne had an easy way about him, and he always had a smile, always. He never failed to lift my spirits. He was the kind of person that just mad you smile when you saw him approaching. My deepest condolences to Jackie and his family and friends. We were blessed to know Wayne.
