Obituary For Barandes Sinitra Boatwright

Barandes Sinitra Boatwright was born on December 7, 1964, in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia. On August 25, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable memories.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Spring Bethel AME, located at 10930 Middleground Road, Louisville, Georgia.

Interment will follow at Benevolent Cour Society, located on W. 8th Street, Louisville, Georgia. Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, located at 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia.

Barandes was affectionately known as a “Diva”—beautiful in every way, inside and out. She was a woman who was full of life, hardworking, and deeply devoted to the people she loved. A true workaholic, Barandes took pride in everything she did and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She treasured family gatherings and found great joy in bringing her loved ones together.

Barandes had many talents and passions. She enjoyed making candles, loved nature, and had a special gift for taking pictures and capturing beautiful moments. She was also an amazing cook and loved preparing meals for her family, friends, and coworkers. She became especially well known for her delicious potato salad and deviled eggs, which were favorites of everyone fortunate enough to taste them.Barandes was the person you could turn to when you needed advice. She had a gift for giving honest, thoughtful, and heartfelt guidance. She loved deeply and fiercely, and she did not play when it came to her family. Her family was her heart, and she was always ready to protect, encourage, and stand up for those she loved.Barandes was also affectionately known as the “neighborhood journalist.” She kept up with all the happenings in her hometown of Louisville and somehow always seemed to know what was going on. She stayed connected to her community and could always be counted on to know the latest news. Barandes attended Augusta Technical College, where she pursued nursing. She later worked as a Customer Service Representative with Spectrum, where her dedication, commitment, and strong work ethic were evident.Barandes lived a life filled with personality, purpose, and love. She was unforgettable—her presence could light up a room, her advice could set you straight, and her love for her family was undeniable. Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the lives she touched will continue to keep her spirit alive.

Barandes was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Combs Boatwright; her grandparents, Carrie Combs, Theodore Boatwright, and Charlotte Boatwright; and her aunts and uncles, Josephine (Marcus) Hall, Maggie (Johnnie Lee) Hilton, and Casper Combs Jr and Georgia Combs.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her father, Bobby Boatwright of Louisville, Georgia; her children, O’Brian (Nisha Sylvester) Thomas, Joshua Gordon of Augusta, Georgia, Audina (Mohammed Sabo) Boatwright of Abu Dhabi, Tre’Nel Boatwright (Donovan Shankle) of Augusta, Georgia, and Briana Boatwright of Seoul, South Korea; her brother, Michael Stephens; and her brother by love, Willie (Regina) Riles of Ft. Myers, Florida.

She is also survived by her sisters, Jamasena Boatwright (Ira Pollins) of Augusta, Georgia, Ramona (Tyrone Sr.) Young of Augusta, Georgia, and her sister by love, Patricia Gamble.

Barandes leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Mason Lafavor, Nahky Thomas, Arbryanna Thomas, Abdullah Mohammed, and Ali Mohammed; nieces and nephews, Tre’Lonne’ Brown, Michael Doyle, Javaris (Carden) Boatwright, Tyrone (Jasmine) Young Jr., and Khalik Young; great-nieces and great-nephews, Rubi Rose Peters, Tamara Cole, Tre’Vaughn Doyle, Darryian Doyle, and Dai’Lahni Doyle; her uncle, Willie Curtis of Louisville, Georgia; and a host of extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Barandes Sinitra Boatwright was truly one of a kind. She was a Diva, a protector, a giver of advice, a lover of family, a dedicated worker, a talented cook, a photographer, a lover of nature, and Louisville’s own neighborhood journalist. Her life was a beautiful collection of memories that will be treasured forever.

Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, coworkers, and everyone blessed to know her. She may no longer be here in person, but her love, laughter, wisdom, and unforgettable spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
