Ann had a love for taking care of people in which she worked in the medical field for many years.
To know her was to love her. She had actions and sayings that would have you in tears and your side hurting as you laughed and enjoyed her. She loved one or two or maybe three Coca Cola’s a day.
She joined the Pierce Grove Baptist Church Family at an early age and later united with Gordon Grove Baptist Church Family.
Ann was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson County High School. She and Leroy were married for over fifty years.
In this union they had one son, Anthony Jerome Thompson. Ann was truly a dedicated wife and mother.
Ann loved looking good when she stepped out. One of her favorite places was the Jefferson County Senior Citizen Center. She would often talk about all of the activities, information and resources that were provided. She loved to sing and pray and she often song and prayed at the center.
Ann will truly be missed by many. There will be so many things that will often remind us of her. The love we have for her will never wax cold. She will be gone, but never forgotten. Ann would end her phone calls with “I love you”. We say from our hearts to her “We will forever love you”.

My prayers & heartfelt condolences to Leroy & Family. I'm very sorry for your loss. Brenda was my class of '68 classmate & she will be missed, but her sweet spirit will live on in our hearts. May God comfort you & give you peace & strength to endure.
Leroy and Family: May GOD strengthen you as you mourn the death of Ann, a beautiful soul well lived! Your family was a source of love and support to ours many years ago when we provided choir music at Gordon Grove Baptist Church. Your home was a beacon of light, love and warmth where you two hosted meals and relaxation for us traveling wayfarers. Be strong in the Lord and the power of his might...Joy will come in the morning.
