Obituary For Carolyn Conaway

Carolyn Conaway, 60, of Wrens, Georgia departed this life on December 23, 2024.

She was born to the parentage of the late Willie James and Christell Conaway on May 24, 1964, in Valdosta, Georgia.

Homegoing celebration will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 @ 2:00 P.M. Ways Grove Baptist Church, 5411 Campground Road, Wrens, Georgia. The interment will be held in the Ways Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville Georgia from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Carolyn attended the Valdosta School System in Valdosta, Georgia. She was a member of River Hill Baptist Church. Carolyn was a mother of inspiring affirmation of an enduring love that was demonstrated to every member of her family. She had a giving spirit and was the life of the party at family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking and also taught her children (Sharon) how to become homemakers for their family as well.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Lorenzo Garrison, Otis Conaway, Jerry Garrison, Jimmy Conaway, Billy Conaway, Ellis McGhee, and Earl Carter, three sisters Vermatine Conaway, Johnnie Mae Criswell, Jenetta McDonald and granddaughter Ma’Sharann Bostic.

Carolyn leaves behind her loving children, Sharon (Marico) Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Vanessa (Richie) Foreman and Bryant Nelson. Brothers – Willie James (Pam) Conaway of Valdosta, Georgia, and John (Lynn) Conaway of Detroit, Michigan. Sisters – Annie Powell of Valdosta, Janice Sanders of Detroit, Michigan, Denease Oliver of Sterling Height, Michigan and Emma Ruth Holmes of Los Angeles, California. Grandchildren – Marico Bostic Jr., Mar’kese Bostic, Taniyah Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Jr., Jaedyn Nelson, Ta’Mauri Nelson, Timon Nelson, Ti’mere Nelson, Jay’quan Thomas, Jay’vuan Nelson, Rylan Foreman, Ryant Foreman, Rayden Foreman and a sister-in-law, Beatrice McGhee of Valdosta, Georgia, and a very special friend, Lottie Neal. She also leaves behind a host of other family, friends, nieces, nephews and other special people who she has touched with her giving spirit.

Davis Funeral of 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements for Carolyn Conaway.
