Ms. Carolyn Virginia Broomfield, 5000 Sussex Drive, Evans, GA departed this life Friday, February 28, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Louisville City Cemetery, Louisville, GA Ms. Broomfield was a native of Jefferson County, born to the late Charlie Ben Broomfield and Janie Brookins Broomfield. Carolyn attended Jefferson County Public School and was a dedicated member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She moved to New York and worked for five years with Social Services for the City. Carolyn transferred to the State of New York Social Services where she retired after twenty-five years of dedicated services. Survivor include her children, Chandra Broomfield Porter and Darryl (Katherine) Henderson, Evans, GA; her siblings, Dorothy Jean “Bet” Johnson, Sandersville, GA, Alton Broomfield, Chicago, Ill, Rev. Phillip Michael Broomfield, Louisville, GA, Randy (Mary) Broomfield, Tennille, GA; grandchildren, Larkin Delon Porter, Jr. Darryl Jamal Henderson and Chandra Lenora Henderson; Aunt, Eloise Cobb, Atlanta, GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association or Make a Wish Foundation. Family may be contacted at the funeral Home Friday, March 6.
