Mrs. Constance Murray Palmer peacefully passed away on June 5, 2025, at her residence in Richmond County.
Public viewing will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.
Interment will be held in the Brinson Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 493 South Main Street, Wadley, GA.
Born on March 16, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Palmer was the cherished daughter of the late George Murray of Durham, North Carolina, and the late Helen Fisher of Oriental, North Carolina. Throughout her life, she cultivated a deep appreciation for the simple joys. Mrs. Palmer found delight in shopping, sewing, attending church services, and watching cooking shows. Her beloved dog, Marshmellow, was a constant source of joy and companionship that enriched her life.
Mrs. Palmer dedicated 35 years to the Brooklyn Public Library, where she made a lasting impact on the community before retiring in 2003. In 2016, she embraced a new chapter in her life by relocating to Georgia from Brooklyn, NY, bringing with her the warmth and kindness that defined her character.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Murray, as well as her brother, Paul Murray, and sister, Pauline Murray.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Palmer, and her devoted daughter, Concetta Palmer, both of Hephzibah, GA. She also leaves behind her brothers, Alex Murray (Jane) of Bronx, NY, and a sister, Helen Bullock (Eagan) of Minnesota, along with Valarie Willard (John) of Fayetteville, NC, and Gracie Murray of Brooklyn, NY. Her family circle is further enriched by her brother-in-law, Willie Albert (Shirley) Palmer of Virginia, and her cherished grandchildren, Concetta Gibson of Fayetteville, NC, and Destiny Gibbons of Hephzibah, GA. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will carry her memory forward.
Mrs. Constance Murray Palmer was a beacon of love and positivity in the lives of those who knew her. As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, we honor her legacy and the countless ways she touched the hearts of others.

As constant sleeps and heavenly peace, I thank God for the times that we shared. I am also grateful that the Lord has healed her and granted her peace and joy in her heavenly home.
