Obituary For Cora Mae McCall Peeples

With heartfelt love and gratitude, we honor the life and legacy of Mrs. Cora Mae McCall Peeples, a devoted Christian woman whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched every life she encountered. Born on July 19, 1940, to the late Elisha McCall Sr. and Inez Davis McCall, she lived a life grounded in service, compassion, and the love of God.

She made her transition to be with her Lord on December 1, 2025 in Augusta, GA.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 12 Noon at Magnolia Baptist Church, 11816 Sand Valley Road, Avera, GA

Interment will be held in the church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Cora Mae received her early education at Tenders Grove, where she began building the strong foundation that guided her throughout her life. She later dedicated her talents to Three Gables Personal Care Home and Gibson Manufacturing, before embracing her cherished role as a homemaker. In every season of her life, she served with purpose, humility, and a heart full of grace.

A woman of remarkable warmth, Cora Mae was truly one of the most caring and genuine people one could ever meet. She lived her Christian faith daily—helping others, offering words of comfort, and spreading love wherever she went. Her cakes and coleslaw were legendary, always the talk of the town, and her gift for cooking made every family gathering and community occasion even more special.

Cora Mae is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eddie Peeples; her son, Herbert Lee Peeples; and her siblings: Julia Terrell, Bobbie Hilson, Susie Murray, Paul McCall, Kaite McCloud, Martha Tremble, L.D. McCall, Mack Arthur McCall, and Murdine Heggs.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children: Wallace (LaSandra) Peeples of Swainsboro, GA; Terries (Valerie) Peeples of Wrens, GA; and Tyrie (Roosevelt) Tremble of Stapleton, GA. She is also survived by her siblings: Elisha (Pearl) McCall of Las Vegas, NV; Eurine Heard of Augusta, GA; Judie (Barbaraa) McCall of Avera, GA; and Alice (Horace) Batts of Avera, GA.

Her extended family includes sisters-in-law: Martha Peeples of Conyers, GA; Virginia Logan of San Jacinto, CA; Betty Peeples of St. Petersburg, FL; Gloria Stewart of St. Petersburg, FL; and Sandra Rachel of Tampa, FL.

She was blessed with a beautiful and loving legacy of grandchildren: Coranda Johnson of Griffin, GA; Jarmal (Monique) Peeples of Aiken, SC; Taylor Peeples of Logan, GA; Jamaya DuBard of Valdosta, GA; Jakobi Woods of Swainsboro, GA; Brittany (Terrance) Jackson of Hephzibah, GA; Jessica (Timothy) Scott of Augusta, GA; Jasmine Tremble of Stapleton, GA; Brandon (Shontrice) Tremble of Stapleton, GA; Mateedra Tremble of Hephzibah, GA; Roosevelt Hilton of Augusta, GA; Laronda (Nicole) Lewis of Augusta, GA; Tyesha (Kristofer) Beasley of Grovetown, GA; and Terries Peeples, Jr. of Stapleton, GA.

She also leaves behind her goddaughter, Kimberly (Wright) White of Harlem, GA, and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her and were deeply influenced by her love and example.

Cora Mae McCall Peeples lived a life of unwavering faith, endless generosity, and unconditional love. She walked gently, uplifted others, and served the Lord with her whole heart. Her beautiful legacy will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
