Garvin Boyd, Jr. was born November 26, 1936, to the parentage of the late Garvin Boyd, Sr. and Mattie Ella Boyd. Garvin transcended time and embraced Eternity on September 17, 2020, when the heavens opened and reclaimed that which was loaned to earth for just a little while. It is written that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12 Noon at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Georgia Veteran Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Andrew Cannon; siblings, Lua Bell Evans and Lacy Walker. To cherish his memories, Garvin leaves behind his siblings, Daunita Jeanette (Theodist) Grimes, Evelyn Lambert Boyd, Arthur Boyd, Deacon Homer (Lessie) Boyd, Larry Boyd, and Rev. Bobbie Boyd; a nephew that was like a brother, Albert Berry, Jr.; brother-in-law, Jimmie Lee, and a host of nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
