Obituary For Grace Ann Broomfield Williams

Grace Ann Broomfield Williams was born on October 31, 1950, in Louisville, Georgia, to the late Willie James Broomfield and Ada Mae Hill. On July 9, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, compassion, hard work, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 1103 Duhart Church Road, Louisville, Georgia 30434. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.

Grace Ann was a proud native of Louisville, Georgia. She began her career as a machine operator at Delilah Manufacturing before pursuing her passion for caring for others by returning to school to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. She faithfully served residents at Gibson Alternative Living Center in Gibson, Georgia, and later at PruittHealth–Old Capital in both Wadley and Louisville, where she retired after years of dedicated service.

A lifelong and devoted member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, Grace Ann faithfully served on the Mother's Board, sang in the choir, and was an active member of the Kitchen Committee. Her servant's heart was evident in everything she did. She was an exceptional cook and baker, widely known throughout the community for her delicious homemade cakes that brought joy to countless family gatherings and celebrations. She also cherished the friendships she shared with her classmates and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with the Jefferson County High School, Class of 1968, making treasured memories on trips across the country.

Grace Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Willie James Broomfield and Ada Mae Hill; her brother, James Broomfield; her sister, Dorothy Tennyson; and her sister-in-law, Minnie Cuyler.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving daughters, Shafonda (Craig) Alexander of Louisville, Georgia, Krystal Williams of Louisville, Georgia and LaShandra (Hubert) Fields of Stone Mountain, Georgia, whom she lovingly raised as her own; her sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Bennett and Lillie Grey, both of Louisville, Georgia; her brothers-in-law, Wilbert Williams of the Gough Community, Georgia, and Eddie Williams of Riddleville, Georgia; her cherished grandchildren, Kadarius Williams, Ty'Real Gaynor, Ty'Reuna Gaynor, and Tauraus Gaynor, all of Louisville, Georgia; her adored great-grandchildren, Tre'Lan Harris, Kaison Lewis, and Ra'Niah Nelson, all of Louisville, Georgia; her beloved godchildren, Barrett Jackson of Hephzibah, Georgia, Davis Batts of Grayson, Georgia, Taffica Heggs of Louisville, Georgia, and Melissa Johnson of Louisville, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

Though Grace Ann's earthly journey has come to an end, the legacy of her faith, generosity, gentle spirit, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
