Mr. Jack Gibbons, 65, Louisville, GA departed this life Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING. Jack was a native of Jefferson County, born the the parentage of the late Celia Gibbons and Conrade Atkins. At an early age he joined the Christian family at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the the Trustee Board and Usher Board until his health failed. For several years he worked in the maintenance department at Waynesboro Housing Authority. Jack was always reparing things around him. On October 17, 1987 he married the love of his life, Penny Pinkston. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Isaiah Gibbons, Leotis "Cooter" James and Eddie "Hank" James. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-three years, Penny Pinkston Gibbons, Louisville, GA; his children, Jacquetta Brown, Jarin C. Pinkston and Warren D. Gibbons, Louisville, GA; grandchildren, Shyheim Martin, Shakeem Martin, Ai'Kiem Martin, T'Khiyah Heggs, Ty'Reke Heggs, Kurrenci Norris, Jakarta Pinkston, Jarin Pinkston, Jr, Chyna Gibbons, Warren Gibbons, Jr. and Karter Gibbons; his siblings, Johnny (Linda) Gibbons, Betty Carr, Rev. Abraham (Delores) Gibbons, Catherine Gibbons, Louisville, GA, Conrad (Gwen) Atkins, Annie "Boo" Reed, Janie Bell (Marcus) Earl, Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty (Henry) Laster, Edward (Liz) Pinkston, Ricky (Rosa) Pinkston, Louisville, GA, Clara (George) Outlet, Evans, GA, Mary (Eddie) Burley, Augusta, GA, Frankie (Tonya) Pinkston, Roswell, GA, Jewelstine (Fernandez) Robinson, Tyrone (Keisha) Pinkston, Atlanta, GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
