Mr. James Frank Sims, Bennock Road, Augusta, GA, was born May 5, 1950 to the parentage of the late George Wilson and Lanie Mae Patterson Sims.
"Sam or Sambo" as he was lovingly called was everybody's friend. He attended Jefferson County School System. Working was something that Sam did not run away from. He loved driving his truck and meeting new people. He worked until 2024 for All Star Company.
In 2008 he gave his life to the Lord and joined Union Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a doorkeeper for the Lord until his health failed.
He met Fannie Mae Pierce and on September 20, 1974 married her. She was the apple of his eye. To this union, three children were born. Providing for his family was always a priority. He loved lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it was grilling to provide a meal or cutting lawns, Sambo enjoy providing for his family.
His absence will forever be felt in the hearts and minds of his loving wife: Fannie Mae Pierce Sims, Augusta, GA; three daughters: Tina Sims and Victoria Ryans, Augusta, GA, Felicia Harley, McDonough, GA; Grandchildren: Salena Bynes, Nicholas (Briana) Dishmond,
