Ms. Joann Henderson was a native of Washington County born on to the parentage of the late Elnora “Dynamite“ Henderson. She resided her last years with her granddaughter Vanessa Ann Fowler in Adrian Ga. Joann made her transition on Sunday morning August 22, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro Georgia. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 James and Virginia Davis Chapel with SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MASK REQUIRED. Affectionately called “JoJo” she was a loving and devoted friend, grandma, mother and neighbor. Joann had an energetic personality and was known for telling it like it is. If you met Joann u made a friend. She touched many lives with her straight forwardness and passion for life. Joann is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a son “Larry Henderson” and her husband “Bennie ‘BoJack’ Burton Jr. Survivors include her sister Katie Mae Cunningham, Louisville, GA; two biological sons Robert Louis Hawkins, Sandersville, GA and Tommy Lee Henderson, Louisville GA; three biological daughters Mary Greene, Hinesville GA, Laura Mae Henderson, Louisville GA and Carrie Ann Fowler Hines, Louisville GA; a stepdaughter Lillie Rose Brown, Louisville GA and at least ten grandchildren which includes Vanessa Fowler, Adrian GA, Lakeisha Fowler, Douglas GA, Vinnie Fowler, Columbus GA and Andrea Fowler, Augusta GA. Joann also have a host of great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Pheona Grace Fowler, Adrian GA and others including nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
