On January 3, 1961, a baby boy was born and named John C. Knight. On March 10, 2023, John entered eternal rest at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville, GA. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Stubblefield, Tory Knight, Stevie Knight and Joe Nathan Knight.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Brinson Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the Church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. John joined Brinson Hill Baptist Church at an early age and later moved his membership to Salter Grove Baptist Church. He attended the Jefferson County School System where he graduated from Wadley High School. After graduating, John moved to Chicago, IL where he worked as a nurse at North Western Memorial Hospital. Later in life, John returned to Georgia where he gained employment in pine straw and lawncare. He leaves to cherish his memories; Two daughters, Ryan Patton Butler and Charnel Della Knight; Two grandchildren, Aubrey Long and Dimani Clark from Chicago, IL; his mother Idella Knight of Bartow, GA; Three sisters, Patricia K. Price, Bernestine (Ostell) Arline of Bartow, GA and Priscilla K. Allen of Augusta, GA.; Two brothers, Fredrick Knight of Wadley, GA and Norman Knight of Augusta, GA; Leola Jackson, whom was raised as a sister from Louisville, GA and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
