Obituary For Kathryn Gibbons "K.G." Hudson
Mrs. Kathryn Gibbons “K.G.” Hudson, Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Wadley, GA departed this life September 4, 2020 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Brinson Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mask and social distancing required. Mrs. Hudson was born in Jefferson County to the parentage of the late Nathaniel Gibbons and Marjorie Wilcher Gibbons. “K.G.” as she was lovingly known was a 1973 graduate of Wadley High and later received an Associate Degree from Swainsboro Technical Institute. She was a dedicated member of St. Mark A.M.E. Church. She was employed for many years with the Jefferson County Board of Education at Carver Elementary School and for over twenty years she was employed at Wadley Public Library where she held the position as Branch Manager before her retirement. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ronnie “Hutto” Hudson, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, James “Chuck” Wilcher. She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Torey Hudson, Sr. and Timothy Hudson, Atlanta, Georgia, Ronnie (Courtney Jorden) Hudson II, Peoria, Ill; two brothers, Jack (Sharlene) Wilcher, Augusta, GA, Jeffrey (Allison) Gibbons, Swindon, England; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Wilcher, Wadley, GA; grandchildren, Shatoria Hudson, Torey Hudson II, Caleb Hudson, Timira Hudson and Jeremiah Hudson; one great grandchild, Brandon Williams, Jr.; Aunt Ruby Worthen and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
