William Jackson Jr sent Joyful Memory for Kathy Collins McBride - February 13, 2025
Bernard, so sorry to hear the lost of your mother. No we don't know each other. Kathy came to visit us when we lost our mom Naomi Wicker Baker 2010. When I left GA she was only 13. We really enjoyed her visit. You may not know it but you are part of a Hugh family. My mom call your great grandmother cousin Lue. Guess what, find out she was Aunt Lue. You are relative to the Clark's. You have our deepest sympathy. We know how it feels when our heart break, but God is our healer. Linda Baker-Waters
To Kathy's children, Bernard McBride, & Family,
My heart aches for the loss of your Mother, Bernard's wife, & the youngest 1st cousin & last female 1st cousin of the Collins Clan.
Kathy started the 1st cousins birthday call challenge 2 years ago which was a great jester, that I will always treasure in my heart. This was our way of connecting with family that lives far away. Kathy & I would talk at less once month even when there were no monthly birthdays. We talked about any & everything under the sun - time spent together at my family home in Deerfield Beach Florida; reminisced about the summers at Grandma Lue & Papa Sam's home; the family reunions; Homegoing of her Mother, Brother, sisters & other family members. We laughed & cried as we reflected on life in general. I'm going to miss her dearly.
The last time Kathy & I were together was at the Celebration of Life for Brenda Carter (my oldest niece) less than a year ago. I am still a little in disbelief she is no longer physical with us. Proverbs 16: 9 says "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." We have to remember God is in control no matter our desires. Asking God for comfort, peace, & love as we go through this season.
Blessings, Antonia Boyd Jones & Leon Jones Hamilton Jones & Family Angelina Jones-Farley & Family
