Kendrick was a proud graduate of Glenn Hills High School, Class of 1991. He later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Welding and Early Childhood Education from Augusta Technical College. He was employed with TTX Hamburg in North Augusta, South Carolina. For more than 20 years, Kendrick also dedicated himself to serving the children and families of Treasures of Love in Augusta, Georgia. Known affectionately as “Mr. Ken,” he was gentle, patient, and deeply compassionate, leaving a lasting impact on every child and family he encountered.
Kendrick had a true love for life. He enjoyed music—especially the “oldies but goodies”—and was well known for his talent on the grill. Feeding others brought him joy, and no one ever left his home without a plate in their hand and a smile on their face. He cherished time spent with friends, neighbors, co-workers, and especially his family. Kendrick also enjoyed traveling, relaxing, and building a beautiful life with his fiancée. His radiant smile, contagious laughter, and kind spirit touched all who knew him.
He was extremely proud of his son, Keenan, whom he loved deeply and spoke of often. Despite life’s challenges, Kendrick faced every obstacle with strength, grace, and resilience. He was known as a man who never complained, never asked for help, and always gave freely of himself.
Kendrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Thomas Jordan and Laura Mae Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Keenan Jordan of Augusta, Georgia; his parents, Roy and Tyree Smith of Hephzibah, Georgia; his siblings, Tameka Smith of Hephzibah, Georgia; Roy Smith, Jr. of Hephzibah, Georgia; Gail Moultrie (Jerome) of Augusta, Georgia; Heather Gibbons of Columbus, Georgia; and Leon “Brian” Gibbons of Columbia, South Carolina; his cousin/sister, Tiffany Washington “Monique” of Trenton, South Carolina; his grandmother, Rosa Lee Jackson of Covington, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Morgan Smith of Hephzibah, Georgia; Ava Gibbons of Augusta, Georgia; Channon Cox and Shatora Cox, Akron, Ohio; Roy Smith III, Atlanta, GA

Prayers and condolences to the family and friends. Ken you will be missed my childhood friend. Tonya
My dear cousin Ken, one of my absolute favorites. Your heart was so pure. You loved deeply, you gave freely, and you always looked out for your family and closest friends. Whenever I would call and tell you I was coming, your exact words were, "Alright cuz, don't worry about nothing, I got you. You can stay here. You need any gas money or anything?" You genuinely cared. This is so hard for all of us, but as long as we cherish the memories, hold on to the love, and stay close to one another, we will get through this difficult time together—with God's help. Ken, I love you so much. You will forever be in my heart.
Ken was my friend from the neighborhood and a fellow alumnus of Glenn Hills High School.
I'll always remember us cruising to Louisville in his Suzuki Samurai back in the '90s — good times filled with laughter.
Even though we hadn't talked in a few years, the last time we did, we laughed the whole time. His favorite word was "Shawty!" That's how I'll always remember him.
Ken was like family to me. I'm truly saddened by his passing. Praying for his family. May he rest in peace.
My family have yours in continual prayers and may the memory of your son bring you peace and comfort
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
