Kendrick Lee Gilmore affectionately known as “Kenny G,” was born on July 5, 1983, at 11:21 P.M. to Mr. Lee Otis Gilmore Jr. and Mrs. Rosa Marie Heath Gilmore in Honolulu, HI. On December 5, 2025, at 4:38 P.M. he was called home to be with the Lord.
Homegoing Celebration will be held, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel, 2945 Old Tobacco Road, Augusta, GA. Viewing will be held one hour before the service.
Interment will be held in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens, 3666 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA
Public viewing will be held, Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.
Kendrick had a smile that could light any room, a warm and genuine glow that touched the hearts of everyone around him. Despite the challenges he faced, he showed incredible strength meeting each day with courage, determination, and a quiet will to fight. His spirit inspired us, his love uplifted us, and his resilience will forever remain a beautiful part of his legacy.
At an early age, Kendrick became a member of Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Jefferson County High School in May 2004. He lived his life happy, loved, and always surrounded by family.
Kendrick is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Lee Otis Gilmore Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Mae Gilmore, Mrs. Estella (Honey) Heath-Sanders, Otis Sanders and Mr. Bobby Davis Sr.; his great-grandparents, Mrs. Maybelle Gilmore and Mr. Pleas Gilmore, Mrs. Rosa Flournoy-Heath and Mr. Andrew Heath, Mrs. Josie Mathis and Mr. Charlie Mathis; and his uncles Mr. Landis Gilmore and Mr. Bobby Davis Jr., and his aunt Mrs. Rosalyn (Tina) Cooper.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Mr. Lee Otis Gilmore Jr. and Mrs. Rosa Marie Heath Gilmore of Grovetown, GA; and his loving siblings, Alphonso (Shakiera) Gilmore of Tampa, FL, and Roshonda Gilmore of Cocoa Beach, FL.
He will be remembered with love by his uncles: Robert Michael (Latricia) Heath of Avera, GA; Joseph Gilmore, Stephen (Loretta) Gilmore, and Edward Murray of Louisville, GA. His aunts: Phyllis Long of Framingham, MA; Carolyn (Willie) Jackson of Wrens, GA; Patricia Newsome of Waynesboro, GA; Martha Murray of Louisville, GA; Patricia Berry of Louisville, GA; Sally (Mitzi) Heath of Louisville, GA; Brenda Sanders of Louisville, GA; Karen (Jerry) Lane and Ora Sanders of Louisville, GA.
Cherishing his memory are his nephews and nieces Elijah Gilmore, Amaya Gilmore, Cassiona Shells, and Tevon (TJ) Proctor, along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
