Obituary For Kenneth Lee Darisaw, Sr.

Kenneth Lee Darisaw, Sr., of Louisville, Georgia, and most recently Atlanta, Georgia, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on September 29, 2026, at the age of 72.

Homegoing Celebration Services will be held Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, located at 1103 Duhart Church Road, Louisville, Georgia 30434. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 5727 U.S. Highway 1 North, Louisville, Georgia 30434. Public viewing will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, located at 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.

Kenneth was born on May 24, 1954, in Statesboro, Georgia, to Carlos Darisaw, Sr. and Helen Oates Darisaw. He was educated in the Jefferson County School System and was a proud graduate of Jefferson County High, Class of 1972. He continued his education at Stillman College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business in May 1976.

While attending Stillman College, Kenneth became a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., pledging in the fall of 1973. His natural leadership abilities were evident as he faithfully served as Chapter President. The values of scholarship, leadership, brotherhood, and service that he embraced during his college years remained an important part of his life.

At the early age of eight, Kenneth joined Pine Hill Baptist Church. His faith remained a strong foundation throughout his life, and he faithfully served his church as a Trustee. His dedication to his church and community reflected his willingness to serve and his love for those around him.

Kenneth began his professional career in 1977 with Independent Life Insurance Company, which later became American General Life Insurance Company. He devoted 39 years of faithful service to the insurance industry before retiring in 2016. Throughout his career, Kenneth was known for his strong work ethic, professionalism, dedication, and commitment to providing for his family.

In 1982, Kenneth married his loving wife, Lucile Best Darisaw. Their union was blessed with 44 years of marriage and a beautiful family. Kenneth was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished son and brother, and a loyal friend. Family was an important part of his life, and the love and memories they shared will forever remain in the hearts of those closest to him.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda LaDawn Darisaw.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife of 44 years, Lucile Darisaw; his parents, Carlos Darisaw, Sr. and Helen Darisaw; one son, Kenneth Darisaw, Jr. (Kalin) of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Tiya Darisaw Samuels (Alโ€™Tariq) of Stafford, Virginia; three brothers, Carlos Darisaw, Jr., Bobby Darisaw (Debra), and Roy Wayne Darisaw (Wanda), all of Louisville, Georgia; one sister, Diane Hall (Willie) of Wadley, Georgia; four beloved grandchildren, Jordyn, Jaxon, Kellen, and Kamille; and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, fraternity brothers, church family, and dear friends.

Kenneth Lee Darisaw, Sr. leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family, education, hard work, leadership, and service. His life touched many, and the memories, wisdom, and love he shared will continue to live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
