Mrs. Leila Lockhart Seabrook, aged 95, of Wrens, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2025. Born on October 15, 1929, to the late Joe Lockhart and Leila Ellison, Mrs. Seabrook led a remarkable life filled with adventure, love, and creativity.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at Ways Grove Baptist Church, 5411 Campground Road, Wrens, GA, on July 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Throughout her years, she embraced the joys of world travel, indulged in her passion for baking, and took delight in shopping. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life touched everyone around her. Following her retirement from Granite Mill, she dedicated a significant portion of her life to the Augusta community until she lovingly returned to Jefferson County approximately 20 years ago.
As a devoted military wife, Mrs. Seabrook explored diverse cultures and landscapes, enriching her life and the lives of those around her. Baking was not just a hobby for her; it was a way to express her love, and her delicious creations will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike.
Mrs. Seabrook is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Sam Seabrook, her cherished son, Larry Seabrook, her beloved parents, several siblings.
Her legacy continues through her loving family, including her granddaughter, Laura (Nick) Thomas of Augusta; her daughter-in-law, Charlene Seabrooks of Augusta, Georgia; and three adored great-grandchildren, Ivory Fletcher, Ruasheem Fletcher, and Elijah Thomas. She is also survived by her dedicated caretakers, Mary Avery and Sheila Avery of Evans, Georgia, as well as a multitude of loving and devoted nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and other loving friends who will forever cherish her memory in their hearts.
Mrs. Seabrook's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the power of family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
