Lucious “Buddy” Hicks, Jr. departed this life Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Old Capital Inn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel. Mr. Hicks was born in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Lucious Hicks, Sr. and Annie Viola Williams Hicks. In “Buddy’s” younger years he worked as a farmer and later worked as an assembler at John Deere. He is preceded in Death by his parents and four siblings, Ernest Hicks, Clifford Hicks, Verlyn Hicks, Randolph, Gatsie Hicks and Annie R. Adams. Survivors includes his wife, Connie Dean Samples Hicks; eight children, Neomia (Marcus) Fann, David Hicks, Lou Ann Hicks, Pearl ( Stanley) Bass, Elnora (Anthony) Stinson, Deborah (Russell) Littles, Ann (Kenny) Shannon and Linda Armstrong; one sister, Annie Adams; one brother, Veleen Hicks; thirty-five grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
