Marquevis Remon “Mon” Jackson was born February 25, 1984 in Augusta, Georgia, to Bonita Wiley (née Walker) and Willie Roy Jackson. He transitioned from labor to reward on October 4, 2023.
Public viewing will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.
Celebration of Life will be held at Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5184 Farmers Bridge Road, Hephzibah, Georgia 30815. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
“Mon”, as he was called by family and friends, was raised in Augusta and attended Cross Creek High School, class of 2002.
“Mon” was the embodiment of love, perseverance, and always smiled and laughed with everyone he encountered.
By profession, he was a highly skilled electrician, working and being promoted amongst his peers and colleagues many times.
He moved to Illinois with the love of his life in 2021. Recently building a home in Greenville, Illinois and preparing to welcome a baby girl, Mariyah Jackson, in January 2024.
“Mon” leaves many behind to cherish his memory: His devoted parents, Bonita and Warren Wiley; his father, Willie Roy Jackson; his daughter, Ayana Coker, and grandson, Zayden Coker. Brother, Brandon Walker; brother-cousin, Alex Farmer; sisters, Britney (Jeffery) Pooser, Serina Washington, and Seneca Washington; grandparents, Shirley (Howard) Harden, Willis Walker, Rosa Lee Jackson, Ike Heggs and Betty Wiley.
A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
