Mrs. Mattie Bell Brown Owens, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Public Viewing will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tarver Grove Baptist Church.
Interment will be held in the Tarver Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mattie became a blessing to the household of Dan and Ada Williams Brown on Nov 1, 1922.
She grew up in Jefferson County and attended the Jefferson County School System. Mattie was united in holy matrimony to the now late, George Owens. She was a homemaker that worked hard and made sure that her family never missed a meal.
At an early age she joined the Tarver Grove Baptist Church. She did not ever hide the love that she had for her Lord and Savior.
Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children: George Owens, Jr and Georgia Ann Owens; her siblings: Leroy "Big Boy" Brown, Edward Brown, Allen Brown, Buddy Brown, Tommy Brown, Helen Louise Brown, Leroy Brown and Nicole Brown.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters: Cee Ollie Owens Spann, Ada Mae Owens and Donnie Owens; granddaughter: Pauline Owens; three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; loving caretakers: Annie and Leroy Richardson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Mattie Bell Brown Owens.

Sis. Brown was a aunt to Mr. Relesta James, who is my cousin. She was blessed by God with long life. Her love radiated through her family, she will be missed.
