Mrs. Mattie Mae Palmer Bell, was born in Jefferson County to the parentage of the late Jake and Mattie Lou Johnson Palmer. She made her transition on December 7, 2020 from labor to reward. Graveside services will be Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at Brinson Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mask and social distancing are required. “Granny” as she was affectionately known, was a dedicated member of Brinson Hill Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was formerly employed at Kellers Shirt Company, Jets Food, and Feed the Kid. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Willie Albert Bell. Mattie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Ronald “Bone” Bell and Billy Lee Fields, two sisters, Joyce Mason and Julia Bell Palmer, three brothers, Doc Palmer, Willie James Palmer, and Leroy Palmer. To cherish her memories she leaves her daughters, Sherry Rolle, Wadley, GA, Stephanie Bell, N.Y.; sons, Arthur (Eunice) Field and Fred Palmer all of New York; two brothers, T.J. (Constance) Palmer, Hephzibah, GA; Willie Albert (Shirley) Palmer, VA; 23 grandchildren, Yaishia, Tiquile, Octavious, Ronell, Mia, Ronald, Renardo, Brianna, Kareem, Tiffany, Jasmine, Monique, Ozzie, Ferdick, Domonique, Keith, Tabitha, Ashley, Shaffon, Arthur, Tamika, Monique, Tanisha; 34 great-grandchildren; her caregiver, her grand-daughter, Yaisha Rolle; two Goddaughters, Gennie Harris and Nadine Neal, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
