Obituary For Michael Burton

Entered into this world in Jefferson County Georgia, on May 28th, 1961, Mr. Michael Burton was born to the now late, Willie Mae Burton. Michael lived in Jefferson County his entire life.

Michael was the perfect example of family love. He attended the Jefferson County Public Schools and at an early age he joined the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Family. "Ole Man" as he was lovingly known, loved family and took up much time with his friends.

Along with the love of his mother, he was blessed to have the love and nurturing of his grandparents, Edgar Burton and Mattie Heggs Burton, along with several aunts and uncles that he always considered his siblings.

He made his transition on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Augusta, GA.

He joins his mother, grandparents and several siblings: Edgar, Lucille, Tommie, Jewel, Blanche, Johnnie, Mark, John and Geneva.

Michael's presence will forever be etched in the hearts of his children: Char'Maine Reese and LaTasha Brookins (Joshua) Tate; grandchildren: Jamari Reese, Brayden Reese, Kendarius Brookins, Marquis Brookins, Janiyah Tate and Jaida Tate; one great-grandchild: Kaden Brookins; his siblings: Rebecca, Bettie “BB”, Thelma, Essie, Luke, Bessie, Wilma, Gregory and Anthony; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church 5116 Belmont Road, Louisville, GA. Interment will be held in the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Micheal Burton.
