Reverend Tomlin was a courageous man who stood up for the beauty of God's creation. He dedicated many years of his life seeking environmental justice and trying to protect the health and well-being of those living in the nuclear contamination shadow of Savannah River Site and Plant Vogtle. He was also a man of great humor (what a smile!) and caring for ALL people. He listened, he considered, and he acted. And, importantly, he showed up time and time again. His loyalty to never give up as well as his generosity of spirit will stay with me forever. Blessings on his family at this most difficult time.
My deepest condolences and prayers are with you and your family. Denise O'Neal
To the family and friends of Mr. Bill : May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences. Sue Green
Rev.Tomlin was one of a kind. He taught the text, explained the text, and researched it more just so that you could understand for yourself and apply it. He was the first pastor in Waynesboro to allow me to play for his 8am service for 10 years when I was still playing out the “Easy Hymn Book”. I thank you for your encouragement and wisdom and sternness as a pastor. You sir have indeed ran the race and finished your course so now take your rest in the Masters arm.
