Obituary For Robert Brown

Mr. Robert H. Brown was born on August 26, 1944, to the late Nathaniel Spoat Paschell and Mary Lillie Hobbs Brown. On July 15, 2026, he peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and love for his family and community. He lived a full and blessed life of 81 years.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Sand Valley A.M.E. Church, located at 7557 Sand Valley Road, Louisville, Georgia 30434. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Robert was a faithful member of Sand Valley A.M.E. Church and loved attending worship services whenever his health permitted. He enjoyed riding his golf cart throughout the community, visiting neighbors and friends, and never met a stranger. Known as a true jack-of-all-trades, Robert spent much of his life working on the farm and mastering many skills. He was a dedicated farmer, heavy equipment operator, diesel mechanic, and automobile repairman. His strong work ethic, knowledge, and willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Mary Lou Dawson Brown; his sons, David Brown and Robert Lewis Lane; his brothers, Anthony Brown, Jack Brown, Lindsey Paschell, Jimmy Paschell, and Nathaniel Paschell, Jr.; and his sisters, Minnie B. Paschell Walker, Kay Frances Paschell, May Frances Paschell, Lucille Paschell, Louise Brown, Wealthy Green, Marie Terrell, and Mary Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his sons, Harold (Juna) McCall of Eatonton, Georgia, and Gregory Brown of Wrens, Georgia; his daughters, LaSonya (Jessie) Brown of Wadley, Georgia, Patricia Brown of Nashville, Tennessee, and Sherry Smith of Wadley, Georgia; and those he lovingly raised as his own, Tiera Mills of Wrens, Georgia, Quanita Mills of Wrens, Georgia, and Whitney Tremble of Wadley, Georgia. his daughter-in-law, Vickie Lane. He is also survived by his brother, Albert Paschell of Midville, Georgia; his sisters, Sherry Jones of Louisville, Georgia, and Ruby Paschell of Evans, Georgia; and his devoted nieces who were raised as his siblings, Betty Farmer and Mary (Charlie) Oliphant of Wrens, Georgia.

Special recognition is given to his nieces and nephews who lovingly helped care for him, Cheryl (James) Oliphant of Stapleton, Georgia, Betty (Gary) Brown of Stapleton, Georgia, and Debra (Porter) Quarterman of Stapleton, Georgia.

Robert also leaves behind two grandchildren whom he raised as his own, Adrian Brown of Waynesboro, Georgia, and Randall Baker of Dublin, Georgia; sixteen additional grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his special friend, Rev. Andre "AJ" Jones, and a special friend, Shirley Smith, whose friendship and companionship were a source of comfort and joy.

Though he will be deeply missed, Robert's legacy of faith, hard work, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
