Obituary For Rosetta Woodard Lewis

Mrs. Rosetta Woodard Lewis, Bedingfield Street, Wadley, GA departed this life Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Graveside Services will be held Monday, December 27th at 11:30 A.M. at Brinson Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Wadley, GA with mask and social distancing. Public viewing will be held Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Mrs Lewis was born in Jefferson County GA to the parentage of Charlie Otis Woodard and Rosie Mae Gardner Woodard. At an early age she joined the Christian family at Brinson Hill Baptist Church where for many years she worked tirelessly on the Missionary Board and Pastor's Aide.

She was a 1963 graduate of Jefferson County High School and on June 11, 1966 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Charles Lewis.

For over 38 years Rosetta worked at Wadley Shirt Company first as a seamstress and later as a clerk.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Lewis, Wadley, GA; her son: Tracy Lewis, Wadley, GA; two grandchildren: Son Tracy C. Lewis, Wadley, GA; Grandchildren: Zanquisha N. Lewis and Tavaris C. Lewis, Wadley, GA; Great grandchildren: Cortney C J Daniels, Ava Best and McKenzie Best, Wadley, GA; three great grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Betty (Robert) Seafus, Elder Ruby (Elder Ricky) Wells, Louisville, GA, Cathy (Lester) Jackson, Tennille, GA, Otis Woodard, Hollywood, FL, Craig (Toya) Woodard, Covington, GA, Mary Trimble, Detroit, Michigan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Regina Kelly, Mary Dorothy Heggs, John Henry (Maude) Lewis, Minister Julia Dixon, Wadley, GA; several cousins but some that she was reared in the household with namely, Shirley (Albert) Samples, Geneva Brinson and Amisha Washington, Wadley, GA, Cubie Grier, Daytona Beach, FL, Willie (Shirley) Grier, Palm Coast, FL, Hubert (Ann) William, New Orleans, Daisy M. Davis, Augusta, GA, Jerrdean (Maynard) Anderson, Atlanta, GA, Jerry (Carol) Vinson, New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, and other loving friends.
