Mr. Edward Bell transitioned to be with the Lord on November 14, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. He was born to Moses and Julia Mae Toliver Bell, both of Bartow, Georgia.
Public viewing will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones chapel C.M.E. Church, 19233 GA Highway 242, Bartow, GA.
Interment will be held in the Jones Chapel C.M.E. Cemetery, Jones Chaple Road.
Edward graduated from TJ. Elder and shortly after went to work at Thermo King Corporation for decades until his retirement in 2012. He began to miss the daily interactions with others and wished to continue helping others, so he began working part-time with Jefferson County Transit until his health began to decline.
Edward was a faithful member of the Jones Chapel C.M.E. church for many years. Up until the time of his demise, he was proudly serving as Chairman of the Steward Board.
He enjoyed family and friends, church, sports, guitar playing, riding his motorcycle, and playing solitaire.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Moses Bell, Mae Sallie Robinson, Annie Mae Bell, Mattie Cooper, Joann Bell, Willie Bell, and Virlen Bell.
He will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of his children: Michael Bell, North Carolina, Tameka “Nikki” Bell, Augusta, Georgia, Damon (Olivia) Heggs, Covington Georgia, and Michelle Bell, Augusta, Georgia, Siblings: Ella Mae Bell of Florida, Julia Mae Bell of Conyers, Georgia, Henry (Frances) Bell of Conyers, Georgia, Grandchildren; Kaydajah Jackson of Wadley, Georgia, Jamyiah Jackson of Augusta, Georgia, Jarius “ Boo” Bell of Augusta, Georgia, Zamorah “ Bobbie” Walden of Augusta, Georgia, Damion Heggs Jr. of Conyers, Georgia, Great-Grandchildren; Nandi “ Rose” Jackson and Syncere Roberts, and Devoted Friend, Ms. Mae Lizzie Mack, as well as a host of loving family and friends.
Davis Funeral Home of 725 Beech Street Louisville is in charge of the arrangements of Steward Edward Bell.
