Mr. Thomas Dempsey Turner, Jr. was born April 8, 1940 to the parentage of the now late Thomas Dempsey Turner, Sr. and Annie Willie Cunningham Turner.
He made his transition from labor to reward on June 13, 2023 at his residence. He joins his parents, and siblings including, Bobby Jones, Betty Ellington, Billy Turner, Willie Turner, Larry Turner, Ricky Turner; brother-in-law, Brian K. Hall.
Celebration of Life Services will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church, 939 N. MLK, Jr. Blvd., Wadley, GA.
Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Thomas was one person that always put the best on the outside. He attended Wadley High School and after graduation he joined the U.S. Army where he gave a portion of his life for the defense of our country serving in the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, Wadley, GA.
The love that he shared will be sadly missed by his loving wife: Carolyn Mincey Turner, Wadley, GA; his daughters: Indria (Kendrick) Turner, Kimberly Greene, Wadley, GA; his sons: Thomas D. (Crystal) Turner, III, St. Petersburg, FL, Jamal R. Turner, St. Petersburg, FL, Jason L. Turner, Wadley, GA Travis D. Turner, St. Petersburg, FL; his brother: Jackie Turner , Wadley, GA; sisters: Mary Turner, Covington, GA, Margaret Jordan, Walpole, Mass., Joyce Kirby, Decatur, GA; Father-in-law: Charlie (Nora) Greene, Jacksonville, FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Betty (Jack) Turner , Vanessa (Bobby) Dogan, Marissa (Patrick) Kelly, Alice Turner, Shirley Turner, Thelma Turner and Kevin Hall; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
