Godβs angels embraced Torace Jerome Johnson on the evening of January 24, 2025, at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. at the Camp Spring Baptist Church, 9919 Old Savannah Road, Sandersville, Georgia, 31082. The interment will follow at the Camp Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 3:00 β 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA
Mr. Johnson was born on June 26, 1963, in Washington County, Georgia, to Mrs. Hattie Pearl Johnson and the late Mr. Alex Johnson Sr. He proudly graduated from Washington County High School in 1981 and went on to serve the community through his employment with the Department of Transportation for 10 years. Known affectionately as T-Zan, Torace was recognized for his generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He enjoyed watching football and the show Judge Judy, and he was often referred to as a one-man taxi service for those in need. Torace became a member of Camp Spring Baptist Church at an early age, where he nurtured his faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Johnson Sr.; two sisters, Ms. Rosie Mae Johnson and Mrs. Mary Helen Tarver; and two brothers, Alex Johnson Jr. and Hubert Johnson.
Mr. Johnson leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, Pershauna Kitchens, and grandson, Jarred Credler Jr., both of Davisboro, Georgia. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Hattie Pearl Johnson of Davisboro, Georgia; four sisters, Ms. Pearline Johnson, Mrs. Christine Farmer (who was also his caregiver), both of Davisboro, Georgia, Mrs. Katherine (David) Irwin of Harrison, Georgia, and Mrs. Minnie Davis of Atlanta, Georgia. He had a sister-in-law, Ms. Elizabeth Taylor Johnson of Harrison, Georgia; three aunts, Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Gloria Riddle of Riddleville, Georgia, and Ms. Mary Rolling of Davisboro, Georgia; and an uncle, Mr. Freeman (Annie) Riddle of Davisboro, Georgia. Additionally, he leaves behind devoted nieces, Nikki Carswell and Alexis Farmer, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Torace Jerome Johnson will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
