Mr. Torrace Vincent Boatwright made his transition from labor to reward on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Augusta State University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, Mary Boatwright, that was such a strong influence in his life. Torrace was born in Louisville, GA, January 15, 1956 to the parentage of the now late Jerome Lockhart and Annie Mae Boatwright Martin.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 9815 Highway 17, South, Louisville, GA. Interment will be held in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Always surrounded by strong hands and loving hearts he attended the Jefferson County School System where he graduated from Louisville High School in 1974. At that time he relocated to Augusta, GA where he worked for many years at Sibley Mills. In his spare time he loved watching his Western movies and some how he always found time to hit everyone's taste bud when he cooked on the grill..
His absence will forever be felt in the hearts of his children: Tara Boatwright, Stapleton, GA, Sharnika Clark, Wrens, GA and Tekila (Kelvin) Farmer, Hephzibah, GA; his stepfather: Romie Martin, Augusta, GA; his siblings: Reginald Lockhart, Jacksonville, FL, Ricky (Cathy) Boatwright, Augusta, GA, Darius (Kimberly) Mackey, League City, TX, Ideana Bostic, Hephzibah, GA, Sonya Sabb and Williette Jones, Augusta, GA; his grandchildren: Andreas Hobbs, Makayla Clark, Kase Farmer; one great-grandchild: Kody Hobbs; aunts and uncles, George W. (Ora) Boatwright, Hephzibah, GA and Joann Marion, Louisville GA; several cousins and other relatives and friends.
