Viola Cummings was born January 10, 1959, in Jefferson County, Georgia to the late Tommy Lee Cummings and Ida Mae Harmon Cummings. She departed this life on Friday, July 14, 2023, at her residence. She joins her mother Ida Mae Harmon Cummings, her father Tommie Lee Cummings, her sisters, Cheryl Butts, Ida Marie Scott, and brothers, Velton J. Harmon, Melvin Harmon, Johnnie R. Boston, Leon Cummings.
Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 12 Noon at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries, 11972 Highway 1 South, Wadley, GA. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday July 21, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries.
At an early age, she joined the Brinson Hill Missionary Baptist Church and later became a faithful lifelong member at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries in Wadley, Georgia and became a born-again believer at an early age and remained faithful throughout the years with her walk with Christ. She faithfully known for leading Easter ceremonies, having Easter plays and gathering children to say Easter speeches. She was employed at Nightingale Home Health.
Vi, as she was affectionately known, performed work in the field of medical, retail and home health. In addition to this, from early experiences, she spent years at Oxford Shirt Company.
Viola (Vi) Cummings leaves to cherish her memories, love and remember her, three loving sons, Pastor Eustache (LaVeisha) Cummings of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christopher (Brittney) Cummings of Hinesville, Georgia and Quinton Cummings of Atlanta, Georgia, five beautiful grandchildren, Caleb Cummings, Cayden Cummings, Casey Cummings, Bryson Cummings and Carter Cummings, a loving sister, Ms. Mary Boston of Covington, Georgia, four brothers; Willie (Lillie) Boston of Hephzibah, Georgia, Tony (Monica) Cummings of Hephzibah, Georgia, Larris Boston of Jacksonville, Florida, and Terry (Brenda) Cummings of Fayetteville, North Carolina, a loving aunt, Vivian Brookins of Wadley, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family maybe contacted on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 at the residence, 98 South Main Street, Wadley, GA.
