Obituary For Walter J. "June Bug" Smith, Jr.

Mr. Walter Julius “June Bug” Smith, Jr, departed this life October 12, 2020 at his residence.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Spring Bethel Benevolent Society Cemetery, Middleground Road, Louisville, GA. with mask and social distancing.

Viewing will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Davis Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Mr. Smith was a native of Jefferson County born to the late Walter Julius Smith, Sr and Emma Lee Washington Smith. He was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church and for over 35 years worked as a painter at Thermo King Corporation. "June Bug" was also a member of the Ponderosa Club.

He is preceding is in death his parents and three siblings, Willie James Smith. Betty Redfield and Larry Smith.

Survivors include his children, Sherry (Tony) Grant, Lavelton (Denitra) Smith, Kimberly Smith, Louisville, GA, Shannon (Gregory) Whitfield, Augusta, GA, Shameka (Jerome) Hadden, Hephzibah, GA and Jhrimick Brown, Killeen, TX; his siblings, Donnie (Brenda) Smith, Freeman (Jennie) Smith; brother-in-law, Ernest Redfield, Wrens, GA; sisters-in-law, Eloise Smith, Louisville, GA, Faye Smith, Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Hightower, Brunswick, GA, Darieon Daniels, Sandersville, GA, Quindarious Smith, Quanish Smith, Denja Smith, Louisville, GA, Makiren Brown, Hailey Blackshear, Perry GA, Michael Johnson, Augusta, GA, Markies Johnson, Gregory L.
