Obituary For Willie James Williams, Jr
WILLIE JAMES WILLIAMS JR. was born January 24, 1952 in Jefferson County to the parentage of the late Willie James and Nellie Cuyler Williams.
Willie James made his transition from labor to reward on May 21, 2024 in Albany, GA.
He joins his parents and two siblings: Nellie Williams Flournoy and Jimmy Cason who preceded him in death.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 9815 Hwy 17 South, Louisville, GA Interment will be held in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held June 7, 2024 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.
Willie James joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Family at a very early age. He attended and graduated from Louisville High School in 1971. He loved fishing, shooting pool, grilling and traveling. He was employed at Thermo King Corp as a machine operator, Line Leader and Welder for 45 years. On his job he was nicknamed (“HARRY HIPPI” / “STACKEY”). Willie James retired May of 2011.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife: Thelma Loyd Williams, Augusta, GA; his children: Tori Rodregus Williams, Sr., Louisville, GA and Martine Kianna Williams, Augusta, GA; His grandchildren: Tori Rodregus Williams, Jr., Augusta, GA, Nekia Vallies and Christian Williams, Louisville, GA; His siblings: Henry (Delores) Williams, Earlene “Betty” (Ed Willie “Bobby”) Coley , Augusta, GA, Charlie (Shellann) Williams, Vidette, GA. Bertha “Candy” Hines, Larry (Angela) Williams, Augusta, GA. Pamela (Willie) Smallwood, Louisville, GA, Fredrick (Shenee, Anchorage, Alaska, Shirley Gibbons, Asbury Park, New Jersey, Donald (Debra) Williams, Evans , GA. Brenda (Ernest) Barksdale, Evans, GA, Debra (Kenneth) Leverette, O’Fallon, IL, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie Loyd, Augusta, GA, Marlo Loyd, Scranton, PA. Willie Lee (Debbie) Loyd, Scranton, PA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
