Homegoing Services for Mother Bessie Mae Boyd, of Atlanta, GA., will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Lucas Temple True Church of God in Christ, 679 Glendale Rd., Clarkston, GA., with her remains placed in repose at 9:30 A.M. Elder Vista Jeffries, Pastor, Elder Stacy Boyd, Officiating. Interment, Dawn Memorial Park, Decatur, GA.
Mother Boyd leaves to cherish her children, sons, Eddie (Alfredia), Irvin (Claude), Isiah (Lois); daughters, Lisa (Calvin), Cynthia (Samuel), LaDema (Thurman), Pam (Wyman), Jackie (Greg); and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, other loving relatives, church family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence Saturday, at 10:00 A.M.

Mother was a fantastic mother, grandmother, child of God, and overall righteous lady. Her steps were definitely ordered by the Lord, and we aspire to follow in her steps as well. It feels so surreal that mother has passed on because she has always been so full of life and there has always been Mother. She warmed our hearts so greatly and she was an awesome grandma. She was the best mother-in-law to have and we wouldn't want it any other way. She let it be known that her "in-laws" were hers just as much as her biological children and did an amazing job at making us feel welcomed. We are happy and honored to know that she was very proud of us and she didn't hold back on letting us know that either. Every time she spoke to any one of us, she let us know we were so beautiful.
