Homegoing Services for Mr. Charles Oglesby, Jr., of Decatur, will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. Pastor Terrell Taylor, Officiating, Eulogist. Interment, Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
Charles, Jr., leaves to cherish his memories, 3 children, Charles Oglesby, III, Artiesha Iwuno, Andrew Oglesby; his grandchildren, Charlie Little, A.J. Little, Nolan Oglesby; his mother, Artie Oglesby; 1 brother, Marvin Oglesby; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence Wednesday, at 9:30 A.M.

I just found out about Charles passing. This hit me hard. He was my manager at DeKalb County. He hired me and gave me a chance in the IT field when nobody else would. I would not be where I'm at now in my career if it wasn't for him. I truly learned a lot from him. He's was my friend and mentor. I'll always remember him.

Big O as we called him in our Naval Reserves Unit. A brother for over 30 years who I had the pleasure of traveling with to London, Paris and Hawaii to just name a few over the years. Too many memories to mention her but Charles always was a trusted friend to so many. From organizing our unit cookouts to our Christmas Navy Reserves get togethers. He will truly be missed. Fair winds and following seas shipmate. You have been properly relieved. We have the watch. Rest in Paradise Big O, I'll see you in the morning.
