Celebration of Life Services for Mr. David Askew, will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, 12:00 NOON at Second Mt. Vernon Baptist Church East, 230 Stovall Street SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30316, with remains placed in repose at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Timothy S. Starks, Officiating, Eulogist. Interment, Hillandale Memorial Park, Lithonia, GA. Public Viewing and Visitation will be held at the mortuary Friday, 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Askew leaves to cherish his memories, Loving and Devoted Wife Delores Askew, three devoted sons, David Askew (Renard), Marlon Askew (Phyllis) and Kennie Askew, one devoted daughter Tiska Sanford; One devoted brother Alfred Askew (Mary) and a devoted sister Evelyn Reynolds; Nine Grandchildren, Lakesia, Marlon, Jr., Tony, Michael, Denzel, Richard (Lil Rick), Tavon, Density, Wanda; Nine Great-grandchildren; Sisters in-law, Joann Alexander, Shirley Walker (Charlie); three brothers in-law, Robert Carter (Sandra), Melvin Carter (Shirley) and Michael Carter (Shelia); four devoted cousins, Sandra Howard, Valerie “Nippy” Lewis (Freddie), Tonya Goodrum (Tim), Annanethia “Peaches” Hattney (Clay); and a host of extended relatives and friends.
