To My Dearest Aunt Diane
To a young girl, an aunt isn't just a distant family member or a sister to your parent, she's a example, a friend, a role model, a voice of reason, and a second mom. That's exactly what Diane was for me.
As a young girl, I remember wanting to be so much of what my aunt was: funny, stylish, well liked, a great cook, a lover of music and tv, and so much more.
Looking back on her life and the person I've grown into, I see so much of me in her. I still watch King of the Hill and the Simpsons to pass the time. I listen to music that reflects how I'm feeling. I turn to God when I feel I have no one else. I feel the love that a pet and animals can bring in your life. I know the importance of being there for those in need and that a good home cooked meal can change someone's day around.
Although these are memories I find hard to reflex on, I am happy, blessed, and honored to have had her in my life to help raise me, teach me, love me, and create endless moments with me.
I love you Auntie and I carry you with me in all areas of my life.
On your Transition (Sister) Diane
I asked the Lord to bless you as you transition from your earthly home to your heavenly home, to guide you and protect you just like our mother would have done.
To add Wisdom to your every flight, to keep your soul in his care, so fast in case you stumble, you know that he is there.
His love is always with you, his "promises" are "true" and when we give him all our love I know God will see us through.
So when the wings you're traveling on, seem difficult at best, just remember I'm still here "Praying" and "God" will do the rest.
In "Loving Memories" God has smiled on you!
Your Siblings and Family,
