Joyce lived her life as a loving, genuine, and generous individual. She never met a stranger and she loved all of her extended family members and let us know it often in words and deeds. Her new years brunch/lunch/dinner was amazing. I have nothing but good memories from my childhood until now, when they returned home to Birmingham, Alabama and visiting Joyce and Herman as a kid, teen, young adult, and as an adult having relocated to Decatur, GA. She was an older cousin but she felt more like a sister and her home always welcomed me and my husband in. She shared so many memories of our family and my mother who passed when I was 3 years old. Since COVID and until now, we have had so many relatives end their earthly journeys, to include numerous cousins, my sister, her brother, and her nephew. Joyce's transition is a joyful one because she lived such a happy, love filled, faith filled, and family filled life, and that is the best way to live. I am blessed to be her cousin and thankful for her every kindness and her love. May she rest in peace until we meet again at the Rapture. She is now gathered together with her ancestors and in the presence of the Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
My heart and prayers go out to Herman, and the family at this time of great loss.🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 Cousin Joyce Brown was the sweetest person. Her heart was filled with joy, compassion and love. She was a true disciple of Christ who talked of God's grace and walked in His righteousness. I will miss the beautiful memories that she shared at every Hargrove Family Reunion she attended. She would often share memories of my dad (Ira), my mom (Pamela), Grandma Avery, and other family members that have passed. Joyce was a beautiful jewel that will never be forgotten. Her spirit is now free of earthly woes and she can soar high in the Heavenly realm. I know my precious sister, Sophie, along with many other Hargroves, who are now in spirit, greeted her with open arms. Rest well, dear cousin. Until we meet again.💖🕊💖

Bro. Herman and Family, we send heartfelt condolences.Your Wife and Mom was a beautiful Spirit. We were Sunday School classmates, and Sang in Mass Choir together. She always asked about my dog,so the last time I spoke to her,I told her my dog had passed after 12 years. She sent a card, and that was how her sweet Spirit was. She always had a beautiful smile when she spoke of Bro. Herman. Missed already, but I know where she is! Family may GOD continue to hold you all in HIS warm loving arms during this difficult time.
