There, he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Fair Filey. During this union, five children were born: Kenneth Filey (Queenie), Alfonzo Fair (Tina) Jerome Filey, Linnard Filey, (deceased), and Danielle Filey. Danny was a man of his word and would stand his ground if needed. He was a true baseball fan and would go to see the Cleveland Indians religiously. No more driving in the snow, no more shoveling the snow from the sidewalk, and no more working outside in frigid temperatures. Yes, Danny was a man of his word! He was man who lived life to the fullest. After his 21 years of service with Eastern Airlines, he worked at the High Museum of Art for over 10 years and finally volunteered at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport for 16 years where he received a several awards for his excellent service and dedication. He was an Atlanta Braves fan attending
games every season and he had extensive collection of jazz music. He enjoyed international traveling, going to concerts, excellent restaurants, spending time with family, but most importantly, going to the gym.
