Jerry Lamar Blossomgame, age 76, transitioned into Heaven on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at First Rephidium Missionary Baptist Church, 4659 Glenwood Road, Decatur with remains to lie in repose at 11:00 A.M.

He was born in Atlanta (Edgewood), Georgia where he attended David T. Howard High School.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Idella, three sisters, one brother, five children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He truly loved his life to the fullest through simple pleasures (but not before noon unless it was Saturday morning when listening to Youngblood); spending time with family, cooking, playing chess and singing & listening to music. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you, until we meet again.
