April 12, 2025, you walked with me behind the coffin of my precious Daughter. You comforted and consoled me while I prayed and cried. Who knew in those moments that you would be called home so soon after.
Thank you for it all. The regular roses, long talks, debates over who went to the best HBCU....(ME, of Course) and for going to all the parties that you eventually warmed up to and opening up to my cherished family and friends. Thank you for your friendship, protection, provision and love.
Thank you for praying with me and for me. Thank you for being a great mechanic, handy man, grill master, confidante, caregiver, and caretaker of me and for me.
My comfort is in knowing that we have special moments & love that are forever. Give Tootie and my parents hugs and kisses from me.
Love You Always, Kim

Rest Easy, Coach Rogers. I pray your family and loved ones find peace and strength as they navigate your tragic loss. Your spirit will live on in all of the lives you touched. You are the true champion now. Respect.
Carmelita and Derek, I have known your family for over forty years and I grew to love and adore each one of you. Thomas was always a joy and a great entertainer whenever Walt and I would come to visit your home. We had many wonderful conversations, food and laughs together throughout the years and this is when I came to know Derek and Kevin as young boys, who were nothing but charming and kind to me whenever I visited. I am truly grateful for the friendship that we all shared and I just want you all to know that you're greatly loved and cared for in this tragic time of loss. Just know that prayers are going up for your entire family and that I will forever keep you close in prayer, and if you are ever in need of a friend, you've got one in me. May our great God wrap His loving arms around you and keep you strong and uplifted until we meet all our loved ones on that great day. 🙏🏻🕊️✝️🌺💐🌹⭐️💖
Sending heartfelt condolences and strength to the family during this time. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless The Family Of Kevin Rogers. Stay strong Hold From On. God Will Take Care of You.From William And Elizabeth Pealer,
To one of my favorite teachers, you will truly be missed. Rest with the Best ❤️
You were more than a friend during our years at Henderson High and at Alabama A&M you looked out for me like you always did. I'm so saddened to hear of your passing, but will forever hold on to our memories. Prayers of comfort to all who knew and loved you. Love ya Bro!
My deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Coach Kevin Rogers. His passing leaves a tremendous void, but his spirit, humor, and unforgettable presence will never be forgotten.
Coach Rogers had a way of making everyone feel seen—and teased just enough to know he cared. I'll never forget how he'd greet me with a smirk and say, "You ain't SWAC," all because I repped Alcorn State while he held it down for Alabama A&M. It was our own lighthearted rivalry, inspired by Coach Prime, and it always brought a smile to my face.
He was sharp, stylish, and smooth—never without something Polo on, and never passing up a chance to talk golf. Coach lived with class, led with heart, and laughed with his whole soul.
Rest easy, Coach Rogers. You were SWAC through and through—and so much more.
One of the best Math Teachers I had throughout Elementary - College. I remember your speeches. You believed in all of your students even when we didn't believe in ourselves and I will forever be grateful for that. May you get your Rest Coach Roger's. MGHS Forever 💜
My Deepest Condolences to Carmelita and the entire Rogers Family, may you find peace and comfort in the sweet memories of Kevin.
My deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Rogers was a good friend, teacher and co-worker. Out A&M and ASU debates will be missed.
He used to call me Denzel all the time and I think it's just because he misheard me. I never corrected him, I was just Denzel. I offer my heart and condolences with his family. Denzel will never forget how sweet and kind he was.
My dear Rogers Family, my deepest prayers and sympathy. Kevin's loss here on earth is shattering, but the angels rejoice. I'm so thankful that he came to our Asheville mountains just before the Dekalb school year began. He rested, we walked, we just were quiet in God's beauty. May the Lord give you peace, as the angels welcome him home to our Lord. .
Express our condolences 🙏.
