Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Linda Jean Blackmon will be held Monday, October 12, 2020, 12:00 Noon at Greater Body of Christ Temple, Inc., 591 Jones Ave., Atlanta. Interment, Dawn Memorial Gardens, Decatur.

Linda Jean Blackmon was born on December 7, 1961 to Mrs. Betty Ann Parham and the late Roy Parham Jr. in Atlanta Georgia. Linda’s childhood education was in Fulton and Dekalb Counties Schools, she graduated from Gordon High School in Decatur, Ga.
Linda began her work career with the Internal Revenue Service in Chamblee, Ga. where she was employed for thirty-nine years. She was a dedicated employee, she gave her heart to her job. She worked in the Receipt and Control Branch for most of her career with the service. She held several positions in other departments. Linda retired in April of 2020 from the Accounts Management Department of the IRS. She enjoyed working yearly with the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) raising donations for various charitable organizations. She also enjoyed working with the Angel Tree project during the Christmas holidays each year while performing her regular work duties. Linda was a very giving person, if you needed it and she had it, it was yours for the asking.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, the occasional fishing trips with Clemmie, and shopping.
Linda was a faithful and dedicated member of the Greater Body of Christ Temple church under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Lydell Smith, in Atlanta, GA. Linda loved her Church and her Church Family. She met Clemmie Blackmon in the late 1990’s they became fast friends and sweethearts. Linda and Clemmie were joined in Holy Matrimony in September of 2007. Linda leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband Clemmie Blackmon, two Sons Cedric White (Quatesha), Justin White, three grandchildren Tykevion, Chyaunna, Chamiya, mother Betty Parham, five Sisters Margie Swann, Brenda Swann, Shirley Parham, Marie Tuck (Donnie), Laura Williams (Gary) 1 brother Roy Parham (Denise) and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Clemmie and Family, I was truly saddened to hear about Linda's passing. I will truly miss her. I worked with Linda in Receipt & Control for many years. Linda was always very nurturing to others. Her smile made you feel good and feel connected. I last spoke with Linda before my retirement and we had meaningful conversation. Well Mama Lin, RIP My Friend.
