Mr. Michael Jerome Johnson, affectionately known to many as "Uncle Mike," passed away peacefully into eternal rest on September 21, 2026, at the age of 71.

Michael was born on August 11, 1955, in Covington, Georgia, to the late Mr. Eddie "Toot" Johnson and Mrs. Doris Hillman Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Eddie Ruth Johnson.

A proud graduate of Murphy High School, Michael pursued higher education and earned an associate degree from a local business college. Throughout his career, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and work ethic through his employment with Cracker Barrel and Omni Hotels. Above all, Michael was a man of steadfast faith who possessed an unwavering love for God and his family.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter, Michelae Johnson; three grandchildren, Corentiss Johnson, Elijah Boddie, and Jovan Johnson; his sister, Shanita Johnson; his nephew Kelvin Johnson, with whom he shared a home, alongside Kelvin's fiancée, Ebonie; his nephew Rodney Johnson; and his nieces, Shalonda and Shari Johnson. His enduring legacy continues through his eleven great-nephews, eleven great-nieces, and a host of extended family members and cherished friends.

Michael will always be remembered for his vibrant humor, quiet strength, and generous heart. May the love he so freely bestowed upon others speak for him always.
