Funeral Services for Rev. Philbert Claxton Nelson, of Atlanta, Georgia, will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 17 Meldon Avenue, S.E. Atlanta, Georgia 30315, with remains placed in repose at 9:00 A.M. Pastor Rev. Dr. Michael A. Chambers, Senior Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.

Rev. Nelson leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, wife, Rosemerry Noble A. Nelson; his sons, Tarik Omari Nelson, Patrick Noble Allen (Minique); sister, Gwendolyn Thomas; brothers, Frank Leon Nelson, Thaddeus L. Nelson; his grandchildren, Tarik Omari Nelson, Jr., Omari Rasheed Prather Nelson, Ava Mae Noble Allen; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence Tuesday, at 8:30 A.M.
