The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Shirley J. Jones, will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:30am at Antioch AME Church, in Stone Mountain, GA, where Reverend Vandy Simmons is pastor. The public viewing is Thursday July 16, 2026 from 12pm -8pm at Donald Trimble Mortuary. The family will have a private burial July 19, 2026 in Moultrie, GA.

Shirley is survived by her 3 children: James W. Jones, Jr., Justina Dix & Emmanuel Dix, Jacqueline Jones; 8 grandchildren: Tristia Jones, Janita Jones, James D. Jones (Tiffany Jones), Emanuel D. Dix, Justin Dix, Joel Dix (Skyler Dix); Ashley Dix, and Jeremy Dix.
25 great-grandchildren: MyLeondre Jones, DreLeon Jones, Tyquantis Jones; Keyoto Curry, Jr., Keyanna Curry, Ja'Kayla Curry, JaKeyze Curry, Keydrick Curry; Kyla Jones, Chasity Jones, McKenzie Jones, Ava Jones, Emery Nunnally, Taylor Jones; Tashawna Dix, Emanuel D. Dix, Jr., Elaina Dix, Jade Dix, Emari Dix, Jordan Hickson; Ariel Dix; Kennedy Dix, Khloe Dix, Kai Dix, and Kapri Dix. her siblings: sister, Velma Thomas; brother Jasper Lewis & Joyce Lewis; step-siblings: 4 sisters, Mildred Williams, Zelma Bridges (Herber), Gladys Ham (Christopher), Janice Yarborough; 3 brothers, Rev. Lawrence Jolly, Sr., Rev. Rufus Jolly (Vallie), Glanzer Jolly (Brenda); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
