Shun was a dear friend with whom I shared many laughs, meaningful memories, and joyous conversations. The Wooten Family and my family have been friends for many years. Shun's loss is felt by many. Her influence and lives she touched will only be revealed in eternity.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing someone we love is never easy, and I can only imagine the depth of your grief. Your aunt was a wonderful person, and her kindness and faith touched so many lives. I pray that God's love surrounds you and your family, bringing you comfort and peace in this difficult time.
To her daughter, I want to remind you that your mother's love, wisdom, and spirit will always be with you. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her, and her legacy lives on through you. Lean on God's strength, and know that you are not alone—your church family and loved ones are here for you. May you find solace in the memories you shared and in the promise that she is at peace with the Lord.
If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out. You are in my prayers.
One scripture that brings comfort during times of loss is Psalm 34:18:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
May this verse remind you that God is near, holding you in His love and strength as you grieve. You are not alone—He is with you, and so is your church family.
SIDNI AND THE WOOTEN FAMILY: Please know that my family and I share in your grief as you mourn the transition of SHUNDRA. I met her as a toddler when she came to visit Virginia and I in our dorm room at AR State University. I am proud of the woman that she became when she grew up. She was precious to all who knew her. We assure you that God will comfort you with the many memories that you shared with her as your mom, sister, aunt, cousin, or other family member. He promised in John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Lean on Him for strength. He loves you and so do we. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Ms. Shundra was a life saving force for me when my daughter was diagnosed with Ataxia in 2022. We only spoke a few times but she was able to encourage this lost mom in a dark time. May God bless her in her transition and blanket her family in a strength and courage that far exceeds your pain. This truly broke my heart today. God bless.
