Obituary For Verna R. Moore
Funeral Services for Verna R. Moore, of Lithonia, will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025; 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church Gresham Road, 2394 Gresham Road, SE Atlanta, Georgia 30316. Reverend Norman Thomas, Jr., Pastor and Pastor Jesse Curney, III, of New Mercies Christian Church, Officiant. The remains will be placed in state at 11:00 A.M. Interment Dawn Memorial Gardens, 4685 Glenwood Road Decatur, Georgia 30035. The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, at the residence from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M.
She is survived by her daughter, Deatrice F. Dollison (Cleveland); son, Darrious L. Moore (Jamie); grandchildren, Jamaya (Brandon), Jarrious, Jeremy, Chelsea, and Christian; great grandchild, Azariah; sisters, Irene Nash, Carolyn Shorts (Alvin), Roseanna Gray, Janice Asberry, and Gail McGill; a host of brother-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence at 11:00 A.M.
