Vevelyn was a shining lovable light in our childhood church and in the Turpin Hill area of Augusta, GA. She was the quiet "big girl" with a gentle smile who fit perfectly between her sister and brother. May her children and husband be comforted by God who loves them.
Auntie Vel was a sweet genuine soul. Never even heard her cuss or get angry. She might fuss at you but it was all out of love and wanting better for her loved ones. I remember staying weekends as a kid for her to do my house and take us to church with Uncle Troy every Sunday. She took God and her love for her family seriously. Heaven gained a true angel & I'll miss her soothing voice, kind spirit and most of all her beautiful smile. Auntie lit up rooms wherever she went and now she can sleep in paradise & light up heaven too. Love you auntie until we meet again! -Alexis
