Homegoing Services for Mrs. Vikki L. Carr, will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church, 923 Valleybrook Rd., Decatur, GA., with remains placed in repose at 10:00 A.M. Bishop Tracy L. Boles, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Washington Memorial Gardens, Decatur, GA. Public Viewing and Visitation will be held at the mortuary Friday, 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Mrs. Carr leaves to cherish her memories, loving husband, Mr. Andre Carr; 3 children, Andre Carr, Jr., Matthew Carr, Vivica Carr; and a host of other loving relatives, extended family, and close friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the mortuary Saturday, at 10:00 A.M.

Vikki, thank you for your friendship going back to the Thankful Baptist Church in 1992. You were always so faithful to the Sign Language Ministry at the New Beginning Church. Each time I would see you at church, you would always have a smile to share with everyone. The last time I saw you was in October for early voting at the DeKalb County Elections Office on Memorial Drive. I admired the fact that you were determined to vote in that historic election. We are continuing to keep Andre and your children in prayer. Deacon DeWitt Martin & family.

Vicki! You are one of a kind! Always the same from the time I was a little girl. We have so many memories together going all the way back to Thankful Baptist Church. As I write these words, my heart is heavy and completely shattered. Vikki was not just a friend but a true blessing in our lives—a reflection of God's love, grace, and kindness in this world.
While we mourn the loss of her presence here on earth, we rejoice knowing she is now resting free from pain and full of eternal joy. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May we find comfort in this truth as we gather in love and faith. Rest my friend ..
